Disappointed - warranty is fake

I am very disappointed in this unit. The control panel had issues initially and then the main drive or pump died on us. The warranty is a complete waste of time and a lie. They will not replace the part. You have to pay someone to come assess its broken and then you have to pay for the cost of the replacement. The cost of all of that was estimated at $450 which is just shy of the cost of a new dishwasher. All of this for a part that is $175 on Amazon. I was lied to by the service desk and told a licensed appliance tech has to work on this and I cannot work on this. License technicians do not exist that is not a requirement or a thing. On top of the brain and heart of the machine not working the dishwasher is already rusting many parts have broken and is does not do the best job cleaning. Overall I do not recommend this product or any LG product. This is complete garbage and LG does not stand behind their product.

After 2 years had to really mess with it to work right water would not come out of the jets and spin the propellers properly. Lots of cycles with cleaner and what not to get it going again. Year 3 it would just randomly start lighting up and beeping for no reason while in use and while not in use. Year 4 it just died. Acts like its not plugged in and left water sitting in the tub.

Problematic dishwasher

This is a great dishwasher except I have only had it 2 years 8 months and the draining motor went out. We bought the warranty and they decided to just pay us the price we paid so I cant even purchase a new one because they have all gone up in price and on order to have it fixed it will cost more..

Fairly easy to operate and runs quietly. Additional top utensil rack is a great feature. After 3 years we started getting an error message and followed all the steps to remedy it but to no avail. Turns out the pump broke down. Part is covered but the repair is still costing us $200. Nice machine but durability is a concern.

Safety hazard

The dishwasher is about two years old. I received an error message and when I opened it water was everywhere and I smelled a foul burning smell. LG said they will send a technician next week for tons of money close to buying a new one . I called another technician and thank god I did. He opened the bottom part and saw fire sparks. The motor blew and the pump blew and because of the circuit between the two a fire was beginning to spark. He shut off the electric fuse to avoid fire starting which could have burn my house down. He recommended I get rid of the unit as this was his fifth unit in two months doing the same things. He asked that I called LG and make them aware as this is a safety hazard and they need to investigate and probably recall. I am looking for a new dishwasher. LG customer support kept me on hold for 45 min to tell me they will contact me tomorrow.

BROKEN AND POOR SUPPORT

Circulation pump died just after the warranty expired and LG wont send me a new one unless I pay for a certified tech to come and tell me it is the circulation pump that is broken. Then they will sell me the free part which is still under warranty then I have to order it and pay another certified tech to replace it..... Good washer minor issues

I bought this about 2 years ago. Overall its does a great job cleaning enough tough and caked on messes. It only dries well if using the night dry feature. I cant get it to hook up to my wifi but that might be me doing it wrong although I got all my other LG products hooked up fine I hooked them up right when I got them this I waited the 2 years. The top rack plastic is relatively cheap and a few pieces broke within the first year. I can put anything in and know itll come out clean. And its good to know every 30 washes you are supposed to run a cleaning on it once again I just found this out by using the app. Would I buy it again? Yes. Id get an extended warranty on it but the few issues it has within the price range of other models I think its top tier.

Bought this about 2 years ago. The top rack has a bunch of piece that chipped or checked. Wish I could use wifi to turn it on this might be a me issue or a machine one? Unsure Only dries good when using night dry feature. Other than that I havent had any issues. I like the adjustable racks and its very easy to clean. Does a great job on tough messes too.

Crappy Warranty Coverage

No repair centers within 50 mile radius.LG asked me to use local company that diagnosed bad motor but they refused because they said LG ripped them off before. Now Im stuck with no dishwasher and no repair centers. $1000 down the drain But hey they offered me 10 off the next one???? Really??

Crappy Warranty Coverage

I bought this in July 2021 and had it installed. Worked just fine until about a month ago when it started making a whirring sound when running. I looked up my warranty and found it was only for three years and I was out of warranty. I called a local company who came out and said the motor was shot. I remembered under the warranty it said TEN YEARS on the motor. I contacted LG but they did not have a repair center within 50 miles from my location. They suggested I use the local company but when I told them LG wanted to use them they said NO WAY Because LG ripped them off. Now Im stuck but hey LG offered me 10 off another crappy dishwasher??? Really??

Trouble Redeemed

Purchased LG Dishwasher 9/3/2020. Added 3-year warranty which turned out to include the first year warranty that came with dishwasher odd instead of adding to the original 1 year warranty. About 3 months after warranty expired dishwasher stopped working. Unit displayed an AE error code. We followed all directions given from LG representative on phone. Dishwasher failed to work. Luckily the unit did not leak/pump water on floor. We unplugged the unit and were preparing to buy and have installed a new dishwasher certainly not an LG. After 3 days we plugged dishwasher in again. The error code AE code cleared and the unit worked. Thus far it is still working. Again odd.

Covid messed up my warrantee. We bought the D/W during the middle of covid and then couldnt get contractors to work on remodel our home had been torn apart so all the appliances sat in the garage for over a year. Once construction started up again and we moved in over a year had passed. Our microwave went out first and less than six months later the dishwasher went into AE mode. We dried out the drain tray and it seemed to work just fine. Two months later - AE showed up again and we were without the D/W we loved. The repair person couldnt find the problem by the time he came the tray was dry an the problem had gone away. We are now waiting after $225. has been spent for it to happen again.

Constantly Breaking

We have had this dishwasher for 4 years and the motor went. In that four years I have had to constantly swap the control panel out because steam would get into it and cause it to fail. I would swap out the panel and it would be fine for another 3 months until I had to do it again. I just went back and forth between panels. Now the motor is burnt out. I expect better from appliances in general. Its such a waste to dispose of major appliances. Dishwashers should last more than 4 years. My next one might... it wont be an LG.

If it were possible to give this item a review that is less than 0 stars I would absolutely do it. It was purchased at Lowes in June 2020. Since then its had the mother board replaced 2x the door latch replaced and a rack. Its total crap.

I have owned this for 3 years and the motor is bad. it has a 10 year warranty yet my repairman cannot get a replacement motor. LG customer service using the chat says it is approved yet it is not. it has been 3 weeks and i still do not have the replacement motor. Im am extremely frustrated and cannot find a way to recommend your product and service.

Worst service ever

Hired LG to fix a 2 yr old dishwasher. Tech came 3 times replaced almost all the parts. Still not working. Have called LG 12 times over last 10 days no one will send a new tech or help fix the dishwasher. They did charge the credit card for the repair that still has the error code runs with the door open and is leaking. Worst service ever. I will never by anything LG again.

Loud Whinning Everday

Love the features..upper rack...adjustable...WAS quiet at first...still cleans great. Many different variable wash cycles. Wfi accessable features. Very happy UNTIL about 2 months ago the motor has a load whinning noise that is very annoying. It is heard throughout the entire cleaning cycle from start to finish. I called support they said they couldnt guarantee anything unless a repairman comes out at my expense. The dishwasher with installation/Tax was close to $1000. Its ony 3 years old. I wish they would just send a repairman out and fix the problem at their expense. its a good dishwasher but the whinning everyday is getting on my nerves. I have LG all through my house with TVs and other products but this is making me think twice. I know its the motor.

Terrible Dishwasher

We have had this for around 2 1/2 years. It has had repairs 3 times now. The last repair was done and another error code came back. I am hoping they just replace it this time This dishwasher is very loud-way louder than the old one we replaced it with. We thought we were upgrading to a better and quieter dishwasher but unless you totally pre clean the dishes they never came clean. The noise level made us have to turn the tv way up in the next room.

Well weve had it for 2 yrs before the direct drive motor went out and it was down 3 weeks before we got replacement motor and also replaced the water valve on the dishwasher.

Superb Appliance and Warranty Service

I have used this dishwasher for three years. No dishwasher Ive owned or used cleans better even when the most basic cycle is selected. When running the sound is barely noticeable. Several months ago the middle rack began to rust in several places. Racks on my model are warranted for five years so I contacted LG online. Seven days after I emailed a copy of my purchase receipt via the online procedure LG mailed a new rack to my house. I couldnt be more pleased with the appliance or LGs responsive service.

This dishwasher was installed 5 months ago and it has quit working no controls has power to the unit but the control board is inoperable. Called LG can only have the warranted parts if a tech comes out and charges me a service call and they order the parts. I quess now I know why this model was discontinued after I purchased it. Dont purchase LG in my kitchen package the stove had a bad burner the fridge had an internal water leak and now this. Cant wait to see what the microwave does

If I could give it a zero I would. Motor died after year and a half. Nearest dealer to replace what I assume is the motor is 75 minutes away. And they want to charge a travel fee.

Our dishwasher starting making noise 2.5 years after we bought it. We called a few technicians and they didnt know what was wrong. I called LG support and was handed off to another support they sent an LG tech and he knew right away what was wrong with the dishwahser. He was VERY kind and professional he had the dishwasher fixed in no time. I will always buy LG thyre support is exellent Thank you LG

I would give 0 if possible. I bought this dishwasher 2 years ago and have been having problems since it was a year old and now it is broke again. Everything in my house is lg and Im so disappointed in this product that I am thinking about slowly switching to a company that will back their product. I call customer service and they just gave me the number for a service tech that will come fix it on my bill. I feel like for the money you pay for this product it should last longer than a year or 2

Motor issues

I purchased this item in 2022 within a few months I was having issues with the motor was put in contact with a repair shop. They took months and months to find the part giving me run around after run around. Finally had it repaired I believe with an aftermarket motor and now having trouble again. Since Im out of warranty no one is helping me. Should have spent the money on the extra warranty but assumed I would be in contact with quality repair places from lg. Unfortunate.

Worthless appliance

Bought this to replace a older dishwasher that started leaking and couldnt be more unhappy with my purchase. Broke 2x the first year alone but the most infuriating part of this dishwasher is the bottom rack. When I try to load plates the times collapse completely so its one big flat piece that is worthless. Also if I somehow manage to rig the armstines to stay up by strategically places bowls to keep them up you cant even push the rack back in because the wheels come off the bottom every time you take it out. Also the very top rack is useless because you cant fit a drinking cup if you use it. Such a piece of garbage. Do not buy

I bought two of these dishwasher machines one of them works well with no problems. The second one keeps tripping the GFCI outlet I switched the outlet and installed a new one and the machine keeps tripping.

Although I have yet to try out the Wi-Fi capabilities of my dishwasher manual operation is already a true delight easy to understand and operate -- and it sings to me when the cycle is completed but for those of you who might not wish to hear any end of cycle signal there is a way to turn it off... Wish there was a real heater. My dishes are always wet when I take them out. Also was not happy with the display going out in less than 3yrs. Other than that love the functions and the extra space with the top rack and the different programs. Not often that I see any food still on the dishes

I had other brand of dishwasher and never had a problem with it . Since my refrigerator got repaired I changed all my kitchen utilities to LG. The LG dishwasher within 21/2 years it gave me trouble. While the load is running it suddenly stopped and mada a loud noise. And inside the parts all came off. I really upset LG dishwasher . Now I have to change the different brand dishwasher .

Problems from day 1

This dishwasher has had issues from the first day we used it. After multiple visits to stop a leak while it was still under warranty it lasted less than 3 years before the control panel failed. The expensive part is still not in after 5 weeks so we are buying a different brand. Such a disappointment.
