Poor Quality Dishwasher

Purchased this dishwasher 2019. Everything was fine until I noticed the upper and lower racks were disintegrating where the plastic covers and coats the rack wire. Then racks show the rust. Poorly designed and cheap. Had to get the racks replaced but the LG Premium Care warranty plan apparently does not cover the racks. Based on this experience I will not purchase LG again due to poor service. The Premium care plan appears to be a scam to get more money out of you and is worthless.

We purchased this dishwasher a couple of years ago. It has served us very well overall. But form the beginning we were able to connect it to the wifi. Even after calling customer service on two occasions it would not connect. After the first year the rack started rust and break off. It still cleans the dishes although I would have hoped it would have held up to wear and tear a little better.

Has broken twice in 4 years of ownership. Current issue cant be addressed until two weeks after the problem occurred. I understand how third party vendors and repair techs work but the fact that this is issue #2 on this piece is infuriating. I constantly have issues with Lg products and the only good thing about them breaking so early into their lifespan is I have an excuse to replace it with something better.

Nice diagnosis bad live chat good phone call

I purchased a new home full of LG appliances. The dishwasher had an OE error which is a drain issue. I ran the smart diagnostics and it did say there was a draining issue. After checking all hoses and others the only option could be the drain pump. The first time I did the live chat and unfortunately I felt they did not know the product or how to troubleshoot and instructed me to have a technician come out which of course was not under warranty has warranties dont transfer to new homeowners. I opted to fix it myself since I was fairly certain what the issue was. Looking on the website for the drain pump the pump alone was around $200 and was out of stock. So I had to purchase the part from a 3rd party which was much cheaper. My second call into tech support was much better. I had replaced the drain pump and that rep was helpful and walked me through the maintenance cycle which got the dishwasher back to running. I was disappointed in the first call. If I would have had a technician come out and replaced the part with OEM parts wed be looking at at least $300 Instead I was able to do it myself for way less money. And it was easy Never fixed a dishwasher before in my life.

But the dishwasher motor for my lg keeps on going out. The next dishwasher I buy will not be lg. Ive had too many issues in a short amount of time to recommend an lg dishwasher to someone else.

Quiet but shuts down

Weve had this dishwasher for approximately 4 years. While I love his quiet it is the there is a glitch in the program that shuts sometimes will not allow the cycle to start shuts it down mid cycle leaving the bottom full of water and it uses an excessive amount of JetDry. The faceplate cracked as well. Hopefully we can replace it soon. We are usually LG exclusive appliance buyers and is the only LG product thats ever given us trouble.

It has served the purpose but has had a couple water leaks. The motor also just gave out. It was under warranty for the part but I have to pay for the labor which is going to be almost $400. For that amount its the same as having No warranty. I am now looking to buy a new one .

Sump motor died after 6 years

After 6 yrs the sump motor is dying--making a grinding noise. Its washing the dishes for now but just wondering when it will quit all together. They sure dont make appliances like they used to We bought an LG package 6yrs ago Refrig microwave oven and dishwasher. Wish it didnt cost more to fix it than a new dishwasher.

Dishwasher is less than 5yrs old and needed the motor replaced. Even though it was still covered by the warranty I was required to pay $300 to have someone come out and replace it. Disappointed that the motor failed so quickly but even more disappointed that LG doesnt back their product.

Cheap materials and no support from the company

We purchased the dishwasher in 2020-2021 as part of our remodel and the racks rusted out and put rust funk into the drainage and filter systems making the machine loud and non-functioning. We called for service and he explained what was wrong cleaned it out as best he could but it got worse. We called the LG manufacturer for the 10 year warranty and was promptly told that it was not covered and nothing could be done. I asked that a supervisor or decision-maker look into our concerns and was told that would happen but not one person called us back. I will never buy LG again.

10 year motor warranty is gimmick

Dishwasher failed months after extended warranty expired. The motor failed is still under 10 year parts warranty but LG was not ready to send the part and wanted to it be diagnosed by authorized repair person. I paid $130 for diagnosis and LG is till not ready to provide part under warranty as they only provide warranty parts to authorized repair agency only and they are asking $600. There is harness also burnt at motor end due motor failure which should also be covered by 10 year warranty as it is caused by part failed under warranty but LG is not considering that under warranty at all. LG wants pay $600+ to get the motor under warranty. Do not buy LG appliances under assumption that some important parts like motor are under 10 year warranty They will not honor that 10 year warranty unless you spend lot of money.

Only had the dishwasher for 4 years and it will not turn on. The LG recommended service wanted over $900 to fix it even though it wasnt that much to replace it. Based upon this I would never buy or recommend LG products.

I was happy with it but then at 4years 5 months the motor went out. The supposed 10 year warranty on the motor is only good for parts. First you need a diagnostic appointment at $129 then the repair appointment at $300+.....all for s $600 dishwasher. They must build them to self-destruct. I have s whole house of LG but never again

Worked great at first

Started off great. A few years into owning we have had issues with draining properly and the lights on the screen fade making it hard to read. We have had different alarm codes as well. Eight now waiting for a repair because it stopped working all together.

Dishwasher woes

Good Looking dishwasher in smudge proof stainless steel. It was working well and then just 2 years after installation my machine is making the loudest noise. It sounds like the motor grinding. The manual says dont use when it makes loud noises. I went through all checklists but it still grinds and cannot be used. So now we are on LGs timeline at our cost to get it fixed as we approach a long weekend with no dishwasher. Ridiculous considering I bought an LG a bundle of appliances for a newly built house and you expect appliances to last. Especially for a household of 2 people. I see this model LDT567835 is no longer sold. I wonder why.

I bought 3 yr ago with extended warranty and as soon as extended b warranty was out the piece of crap fell apart. Showed a 10 yr warranty on motor and they would not cover it. Have been 2 months without trying get parts and such. Customer service is terrible and was hung up on a couple of times. Will never buy LG again.

Features are too sensitive

We bought our house a couple years ago and learned our dishwasher was only 5 years young. It was out of warranty even though it was within the timeframe of the warranty and couldnt get anyone out from LG to cover it or come out to look at the leaking/draining issue. We ended up replacing it and selling for under market value. Also the Wi-Fi and buttons were super touchy the whole time we had it and was super frustrating

We purchased this a little over 4 years ago and it has been very reliable. for us. The best part was there was an issue with the rack and it was under warranty and their customer service was amazing. Having their support will definitely make us purchase another LG in the future. We also have a stove and refrigerator and those have also been very reliable.

Huge disappointment

The LG appliances in our kitchen were purchased by the previous owners of our home in February 2020. I was excited to see LG appliances when we purchased the home in September 2022 as I had always heard good things. What a disappointment when just over three years later the motor on our dishwasher had to be replaced. And it took over two weeks to get parts and service. Only two people in the home have used the dishwasher since it was purchased so it has NOT been overused. In addition I need to make another call to have my LG gas stovetop looked at as one of the burners isnt working. It is also just over three years old Im keeping my fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong with our refrigerator Im giving three stars as I do like the look of the appliances and their features. Im just not sure about the quality.

The dishwasher its self is very good. I did have issues with the racks rusting quickly and LG replaced them for free. Something they should do but still felt good to not have to fight for them ti do the right thing.

Very Quiet

Machine is very quiet works well as far as cleaning dishes. Have a problem with the dish racks the lower rack has tines that lay down to make it easier to load bigger items. The rubber insulation is pretty bad the tines are rusting from the inside and a few have broken off. One of the sides on these adjustable pieces rusted completely out and the insulation is still intact. Middle rack has a section that is rusting and the insulation has come off. This is located on upper right edge that doesnt even come in contact with the dishes. Did I mention that it is very quiet? I also find it amusing that nobody at LG can provide me with a parts breakdown to order replacement parts. But Sears of all places has individual small blow ups on their site.

I have had the dishwasher for 3.5 years. we have called for service 3 times. the last two repairs were oe and ae error codes. those repairs which replaced the drain switch and main control board did not fix the issue. in addition the dishwasher is now leaking. I have to make another service call request. very disappointing unit

Not as good as expected

We had our dishwasher for a little over a year. The main circuit panel fried from moisture getting into the door shell and it also took out the main control panel. The cost to replace it was cheaper than fixing it due to the dishwasher being two months out of warranty. Plus it was kinda noisy when it was working.
