Unnecessary Problems

Had this oven installed in February 2024. It has a very nice exterior appearance. The interior looks like a standard oven but the shelf spacing made it difficult to fit two shelves worth of food on them. This oven lends itself well to shallow pans. Initial use was good but found that temperatures were inconsistent this includes temperature inconsistency based on interior thermostat versus a manual thermometer and inconsistencies between top and bottom heat. The oven includes a temperature offset but even adjusting the offset does not resolve all the issues. The bottom heats more than the top causing the bottoms of dishes to burn unless the temperature is reduced significantly e.g. 25 degrees. After using the oven for 7 months the top oven started making a very loud noise from the convection fan. Called for warranty service and the experience was surprisingly good. They were responsive and were able to troubleshoot the issue within a week. The repair man tried to adjust the fan but assessed that the fan motor needed to be replaced. Getting the replacement fan took about a week and he was able to replace the motor in about an hour. The repair man did a great job and was very professional. He mentioned that he replaces the top fan motors often on these LG ovens. Overall this oven is acceptable but given the temperature inconsistencies shelf spacing and the faulty fan motor I wouldnt recommend buying it due to the inconvenience of being without an oven for a couple of weeks and having to coordinate the repair even if it was a good repair experience - not needing a repair would have been ideal.

Very poor customer service.

So far Im pretty happy with the wall oven purchased in March of this year. I had to contact LG as the internal glass cracked and needed replacing as there must have been a fault during shipping up here to Alaska but after managing to convince a rather untrusting customer service rep there had been NO IMPACT and supplying video and still photographs for their assessment whereby they could see I was not lying it was assessed again by a local contractor glass ordered and replaced. This is the only reason I have marked them down as the oven is very good indeed. Its pretty unfair to be thought of as someone lying when your product complaint is their error.

Have only had this for about 2 months but am happy with how it performs. Seems to bake true. One thing I find a bit bothersome is that you cannot use the broil function with the over door open as I prefer to do Not a big deal really. Love the blue interior. Am still getting to know the ovens and have not tried the air frier yet. Also it does take longer to heat to temperature than my old one did.

ME TOO: NEW Double Oven Trouble NO Help From LG

I am also the victim of a shoddy product and how LG refuses to stand by their product. Our problem is on the upper oven also but with us we had large black stains appear all over the surface of the bottom of the oven after the first use. THESE ARE NOT FOOD STAINS - THIS IS BURNT ENAMEL UNDER THE EXTERIOR FINISH This means this will likely chip and crack because it was not properly coated. LG would not even come out or even call. They refused to do any warranty work and TEXTED me saying that their warranty does not cover cosmetic damage. This is a brand new oven It was used once and there are dozens of black burn marks on the inside now and the oven was only heated up to 375 for just a few minutes as we were cooking fillets. LG does not stand by their product at all. LG: If you had a brand new car and the paint started peeling after the first time you drove it would you accept that as just a cosmetic issue? Of course not - this is damage caused by a faulty manufacturer procedure. I am filing a report with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission as this is not just a cosmetic issue.

I am glad I bought it. It is beautiful double oven with a blue inside The air fryer feature is awesome. Though you need to put a cookie sheet under the air frying basket so you dont get the oven dirty.
